MyBlogLog, located at http://www.mybloglog.com/, is a popular social networking service that includes a popular web widget that you can install on your blog or content site. The MyBlogLog widget shows your weblog visitors the most recent MyBlogLog members who have visited your web site, including each member’s avatar and screen name.

The MyBlogLog community represents an eclectic group of individuals that are interested in finding new web sites. You can use the MyBlogLog widget and community to increase traffic to your web site and build buzz around your web site content.

In addition to displaying the MyBlogLog widget on your web site, your MyBlogLog membership consists of a profile page that is made publicly available on MyBlogLog.com. Your MyBlogLog profile page can include lists of web sites you own and blogs you author, and a personal or business profile that you can use to actively build contacts from the MyBlogLog community.

Navigate to http://www.mybloglog.com/, if you have a Yahoo ID, you can sign in by clicking “Sign In with a Yahoo ID”. Login and click “Edit Profile”, insert relevant information about yourself and your company or service. When complete, be sure to update your profile, then search for blogs using the search box in the upper-right corner of the page.

Of course you’ll want to find weblogs related to your own and other MyBlogLog members who share your interests. If you were to search for example, “Internet Marketing”, the results include MyBlogLog members interested in Internet Marketing and a list of blogs related to Internet Marketing. You can contact these members and visit their blogs to form partnerships and find networking opportunities.

People can leave you public or private messages on your profile page, and you do the same leaving messages for others. Messages include your avatar, screen name, and a link back to your profile page. Leaving messages is a good strategy for encouraging others to visit your profile page and learn more about the web sites that you author.

Your profile page includes a feature that allows you to see the most recent members of the MyBlogLog community to visit your page. You should add as a contact any MyBlogLog members that visit your profile page, and you should also return the favor by visiting their profile pages.

  1. Hi John, MyBlogBlog will discontinue :(
What do you think about that bro?

    • John Engle says:

      Hey Latief,

Yup… about 2 weeks after I joined MyBlogLog, I received an email stating that MyBlogLog was going away and ‘Yahoo!Pulse’ services being offered in its place.

I just forgot to pull the article… now, if a person were to click on the link I provided, they will be informed that it is going away as of May 24th, so the person will have the opportunity to join Yahoo’s Pulse if they’d like to!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
